AEW Name Had ‘Multiple Delays’ Ahead Of August 12 Collision

A top AEW name has said they have had ‘multiple delays’ on route to tonight’s (August 12) episode of AEW Collision.

The main event of last week’s show saw CM Punk defend the ‘Real’ AEW World Championship against Ricky Starks.

The match saw Jim Ross make his return to AEW for the first time since the debut episode of Collision, with him taking time away due to health issues.

Ahead of tonight’s show, JR took to Twitter to share an update, noting that he has suffered multiple delays on his way to the show, and indicated it would be a ‘photo finish’ whether he makes it in time.

He said:

Multiple delays on my @AmericanAir Jax to CLT before driving to Greensboro. #PhotoFinish #Collision@AEW

JR recently spoke about the backstage environment at Collision, and how he believes it to be ‘a lot calmer’ than Dynamite.

JR is not the only wrestler to potentially make a show last minute, as WWE’s Dakota Kai also detailed her last minute travel for both SummerSlam, as well as being a late addition to last night’s SmackDown show.
