Sammy Guevara hasn’t been seen in action since AEW WrestleDream on October 1 where he suffered a reported concussion.
In the aftermath of the show, Don Callis revealed that Guevara wasn’t ‘medically cleared’, with Dave Meltzer later confirming the concussion story as accurate.
Former AEW star Fuego Del Sol recently revealed that Guevara is ‘feeling a lot better’ and that his in-ring ‘return is imminent’.
On the recent Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer provided a further update on Guevara’s status, saying:
“He was cleared – I don’t know when he was cleared exactly, but it was over a week ago and it was basically, he wasn’t gonna be there until she (Tay Melo) gave birth, and then he would come back shortly after.
“At that point when she was about to give birth there was no point coming back until after she gave birth. But yeah, he’s cleared.”

As recently reported, Tay Melo gave birth to Luna Melo Guevara on November 28, 2023 after more than twenty-four hours in labor.
