AEW star Billie Starkz has praised her “Minion Overlord” and ROH Women’s World Champion Athena for International Women’s Day.
In 2023, Athena was highly regarded as one of the best women’s wrestlers in the world thanks to her excellent work on Ring of Honor TV.
Her reign as ROH Women’s World Champion set the record for longest in the title’s history and placed in the top 5 all-time in ROH history for title defenses as well. She also made history by becoming the first woman to win the main event of a ROH pay-per-view.
Along the way, “The Fallen Goddess” recruited Billie Starkz and Lexy Nair to form “MIT: Minion In Training.” Athena and Starkz clashed in the main event of ROH Final Battle, but reunited afterwards.
On March 8 to celebrate International Women’s Day, Billie Starkz took to social media to post photos of herself with Athena and celebrate her mentor. She wrote:
Our relationship is interesting, but I couldn’t ask for a better friend, mentor, or overlord.
Thank you for being you!

Athena last wrestled in a win over Nyla Rose in a Two Out of Three Falls Tables Match to retain the ROH Women’s World Championship on the February 22 edition of ROH TV on Honor Club.
Meanwhile, Billie Starkz is currently involved in the ROH Women’s TV Title Tournament.
