AEW star and former AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker has credited Kevin Nash for their Detroit Lions’ fandom following their win.
On January 21, the Detroit Lions defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to advance to the NFC Championship game for the first time since the 1991 season.
Fans have been rallying around the Lions’ success with the team going from a winless season in 2008 to get one win away from the Superbowl.
Former AEW Women’s World Champion and well-known Steelers fan Britt Baker took to social media to comment on the Lions’ big win. Explaining her two reasons for supporting the Lions, Baker wrote:
I’m all in on Detroit for two reasons
1. Eminem
2. @RealKevinNash
Baker was seemingly responding to a post tweeted by Detroit native and WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash, who congratulated the team and the city following the victory. He wrote:
Congratulations @Lions and the city of Detroit. It’s been Detroit against everybody for years and now everyone has hoped on. Plenty of room America we’ve been waiting a long time
The Detroit Lions will face San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game on January 28 with the winner moving on to the Superbowl.
Meanwhile, Britt Baker has not appeared on AEW programming since September 2023.
