AEW Star Reacts To Jay Briscoe Tribute Match At ROH Final Battle ROH

AEW star and former AEW World Tag Team Champion Dax Harwood has reacted to the Jay Briscoe Tribute Match at ROH Final Battle 2023.

On the December 7 edition of ROH TV on Honor Club, Bryan Danielson and ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta challenged FTR and Mark Briscoe to face the Blackpool Combat Club in a trios match at ROH Final Battle.

AEW and ROH CEO Tony Khan later announced that the Blackpool Combat Club’s Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli and Jon Moxley will face Dax Harwood, Cash Wheeler and Mark Briscoe in honor of Jay Briscoe at next Friday’s Final Battle pay-per-view.

On December 8, FTR’s Dax Harwood took to social media to react to the match announcement and reflect on how the duo’s relationship with The Briscoes changed. He wrote:

I feel safe to say, Cash & I became very close to Jay & Mark. I feel safe to say Jay LOVED his family more than anything. I feel safe to say Mark & Jay considered us family. I feel safe to say, if you ever threatened Jay’s family, he would’ve fought you.

This won’t be a match to “honor Jay”; he wouldn’t have wanted that. He’d want us to beat the asses these sons of bitches who challenged his family to a fight.

Next week, we’ll FIGHT for the Briscoe family name. Hope yall do the same.

Dem Top Guys, out!

ROH Final Battle will feature Athena defending the ROH Women’s World Championship against Billie Starkz in the main event.

Also, Keith Lee will face Shane Taylor in a grudge match, Ethan Page will go one-on-one with Tony Nese in an I Quit Match, and there will be a six-way Survival of the Fittest match for the ROH TV Title.
