An AEW star has further heightened speculation regarding the potential arrival of a top free agent, saying that they “want to fight” them.
As reported by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter in October, former STARDOM star Mariah May is ‘expected’ to join AEW, potentially for a role in a faction featuring Toni Storm.
It had also been reported that WWE were keeping an eye on May’s progress, as the 25-year-old had previously took part in a tryout with the company in 2019.
A return to STARDOM is also believed to be a possibility as well.
While there’s no definite indication just yet, May would potentially tease an impending return to the ring on Twitter, saying:
I’m ready to have some fun
This would then catch the attention of AEW/ROH star Billie Starkz, who responded to the post, declaring that she was eager to face off with May, tweeting:
I want to fight her.
May’s last match for STARDOM came on September 30, while Starkz has been regularly competing on Ring of Honor TV, picking up a win on the most recent November 4 taping.
As well as May, AEW are reportedly interested in the signature of yet another English talent, Will Ospreay.
