AEW World Champion MJF is set to make his big screen debut in the upcoming Von Erich biopic ‘The Iron Claw’.
MJF will play the role of Lance Von Erich in the movie, where he will be alongside Zac Efron.
Ahead of his upcoming role in the movie, MJF has been named on the Hollywood Reporter’s list of ‘New Generation’ action movie stars.
MJF was listed among names such as Ana De Armas, Anya Taylor-Joy, Jack Quaid and Sydney Sweeney.
On MJF, they wrote:
Dwayne Johnson, John Cena and Dave Bautista have helped mark out a very well-trodden and star-studded path from wrestling ring to action film set. At 27, Friedman — better known MJF, the All Elite Wrestling champion whose seemingly naturally villainous and always entertaining ringside persona has seen him become a firm fan favorite as the so-called “People’s Scumbag” — could well be the next to make the journey and will soon be seen opposite Zac Efron in A24’s upcoming wrestling drama The Iron Claw.
MJF is now officially the longest reigning AEW World Champion of all-time today, overtaking Kenny Omega’s reign with the title.
MJF is set to defend the title against Jay White at AEW Full Gear on November 18.
