AEW Star Comments On Criticism Of The Company Having A Bloated Roster AEW

An AEW star has commented on the criticism of the company having a bloated roster.

One of the most common complaints of All Elite Wrestling from fans is that the roster is too bloated. This has led to some wrestlers often going weeks without being seen on television.

Appearing on K&S WrestleFest, Shawn Spears addressed this criticism and discussed the positive behind so many people having jobs with AEW.

The former WWE NXT talent noted that “a lot of people have jobs, a lot of people can feed their families.”

Spears said:

“They might not be working as regularly, or they might be gone for weeks at a time, but it is still better than the alternative, not having a job.”

“It’s on the individual or the talent themselves to stay ready to be consistently trying to perfect their craft in any way shape or form. When you get that call are you ready to go or not? That’s what you’re in control of, the rest is out of your hands.”

Shawn Spears experienced a lengthy absence from AEW TV this year after losing to Wardlow in a steel cage match on the May 25 edition of Dynamite.

The AEW star returned to television on the October 12 episode of Dynamite and teamed with FTR to defeat the Embassy’s Bishop Kaun, Toa Liona and Brian Cage on the October 14 Rampage.
