FiAEW held the biggest show in the history of the company back on August 27, when AEW All In took over Wembley Stadium.
The event featured many of AEW’s top stars on the show across both the main show and the pre-show, which began with a contract signing between Miro and Powerhouse Hobbs for their match at All Out the following week.
The segment had not been advertised, and we now know that the segment was added to the show late on.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), Miro and Hobbs were not originally planned to appear at All In.
Fightful was told that Miro went to Tony Khan and passionately pled to be on the show, being unhappy that he wasn’t featured on the show in any capacity.
A compromise was then made to have the contract signing element added to the pre-show.
Hobbs and Miro went on to have their match at All Out in Chicago the following weekend, which will go on to live on as the ‘meat’ match.
Miro’s wife CJ Perry made her debut after Miro’s victory.
