An AEW star has provided an update on their status following an injury scare on AEW Collision (March 30).
The tournament to crown new AEW Tag Team Champions continued on Collision, as former title holders Ricky Starks & Big Bill took on Top Flight.
Towards the end of the match, Darius Martin had Starks pinned, however, when Starks didn’t kick out as appeared to be the plan, it became apparent that Starks may have suffered an injury.
This led to a seemingly impromptu finish with Martin pinning Starks once again shortly afterwards following a DDT.
Fightful Select would later confirm that this was not the way the match was meant to conclude, with Starks and Big Bill originally planned to win and advance in the tournament.
Thankfully, we now have an update on Starks’ status, as the former AEW Tag Team Champion took to Instagram to ease fans’ minds.
Posting to his IG story, Starks wrote:
I’m all good, everything checked out fine. Was being precautious.
