AEW star Ricky Starks potentially suffered an injury during his match on tonight’s March 30 episode of Collision.
Starks teamed with Big Bill against Top Flight in an AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament match tonight.
Towards the end of the match, Darius Martin had Ricky Starks pinned in a jackknife position – Starks didn’t kick out, but Darius actually moved off the pin (expecting Starks to have kicked out) and the referee stopped his count at two.
Just a few seconds later, Martin pinned Starks again and this time it concluded the match.
It appears Starks knew there was an issue and didn’t kick out the first time because he wanted to end the match early, which then happened right after.
There are no clear specifics on what exactly the issue was so we’ll keep you posted with any updates if and when they emerge.
Earlier in the night FTR beat the Infantry, meaning the two tournament semi-finals are now the Young Bucks vs Trent Beretta & Orange Cassidy, and FTR vs Top Flight.
