An AEW star has stated that he and a former tag partner of his are “not on talking terms” anymore.
While Ortiz and Proud N Powerful partner Santana are known to have had their real-life differences, Ortiz has also stated that he and former partner Eddie Kingston are also no longer talking.
Taking to Twitter, Ortiz retweeted a clip of Kingston wrestling David Finlay in the G1 Climax, expressing delight at Kingston’s work, despite them not being on good terms.
Ortiz tweeted:
Eddie and I might not be on talking terms right now. But putting our differences aside. Seeing him do his thing brings me so much joy!
It’s worth pointing out that this is likely just in reference to the pair’s on-screen problems in early 2023, which saw Kingston turn on his former LAX partner and attack him on a January episode of Rampage.
Both Kingston and Ortiz have spent much of this year off of AEW TV, with Kingston competing in Ring of Honor and recently NJPW while Ortiz has been out of action since April.
With Santana reportedly nearing a return after over a year on the injured list, it remains to be seen what the future holds for Kingston, Ortiz and Santana in AEW.
