A top AEW name has opened up about what it’s like working for Tony Khan in their long-running business relationship.
Megha Parekh serves as AEW’s Chief Legal Officer having carried out that role since 2016 for the Khan-owned Jacksonville Jaguars, along with being Executive Vice President.
She joined the Jaguars in 2013, starting as Vice President and General Counsel.
With her varied roles meaning that she works closely with Tony Khan, Parekh is in a prime position to understand the mind of the businessman.
Speaking on the A2theK Wrestling Show, Parekh revealed what working with Khan is like saying:
“One of the things I really enjoy is that his brain works so much differently than mine.
“And I like that, because I feel like I am also just constantly learning from him, in terms of his perspective on things.
“I want to be around people that I can either learn from or teach something to.”
She would touch on the empathy of the man at the top, adding:
“He’s got one of the biggest, just kindest, most empathetic hearts in a leader.”
“And I think that it really shows that you can be a leader of a successful organization while still having such a huge heart.
“I thought that the way he was able to put together the show after Brodie Lee, Jon Huber, passed, not in a million years am I creative enough or thoughtful enough to come up with what he did for that show.
“And that to me is still one of our most impactful shows that we’ve ever done.”
Parekh also discussed the challenges of negotiating with wrestlers and sports personalities.
In the interview, she explained the rationale behind choosing Wembley Stadium for AEW All In.
It was also revealed that AEW All Out would take place a week after the upcoming August 27 show in London.
