AEW Files To Trademark Faction Name

AEW Files To Trademark Faction Name AEW

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has filed to trademark the name of a faction that has risen to prominence in recent months.

One of the most talked about matches coming out of Full Gear – by people both praising it and criticizing it – was Swerve Strickland vs Hangman Page.

Strickland ultimately won that match but only after help from Prince Nana and Brian Cage.

Strickland, Nana and Cage, along with the Gates of Agony – Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun – make up the group known as the Mogul Embassy.

On November 20, AEW filed to trademark the name Mogul Embassy.

The trademark was filed with the following description:

Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a group or individual wrestlers; Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a group or individual wrestlers; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer

Previously, the Mogul Affiliates and the Embassy were two separate groups, with the Mogul Affiliates being made up of Strickland, Parker Boudreaux and Trench.

However, not long after the group was formed, Trench left AEW and Boudreaux has been off TV, so Strickland ended up merging with the Embassy to become the “Mogul Embassy”.

Cage, Kaun and Liona are currently the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions in their second reign after winning the titles back from Page and the Young Bucks recently.
