AEW has filed a new trademark application for a renamed faction, having previously submitted a filing for the name in 2022.
The April 9, 2025, episode of AEW Dynamite saw Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong drop their Undisputed Kingdom group name.
As the new TNT Champion, Adam Cole declared that, going forward, they’d be known as Paragon.
Paragon was previously subject to a trademark application by AEW in 2022, although the name went unused due to injuries among the group.
A new application has been submitted to the United States Patent and Trademarks Office on April 14, 2025.
Under Serial Number 99135248, the application for the term “PARAGON” reads:
“Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a group or individual professional wrestlers; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a group or individual professional wrestlers; Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services in the nature of live professional wrestling performances; Entertainment services in the nature of production of professional wrestling programs and events.”
While the recent reveal of the new team name focused on Cole, O’Reilly and Strong, it remains unclear as to how Mike Bennett and Matt Taven are affected by the name change.
Taven and Bennett were last seen on AEW television at the November 6, 2024, episode of Rampage, beating The Dark Order (Alex Reynolds & John Silver) and The Infantry (Carlie Bravo & Shawn Dean) in a three-way tag team match.
Both have competed in matches on the independent scene since their last AEW appearance and were in action against The Infantry at ROH Final Battle in December 2024.
