It has been revealed that Warner Bros. Discovery will be making an upcoming behind-the-scenes documentary with AEW.
As per Fightful Select (subscription required), AEW talent and staff were recently informed that AEW will be producing a documentary series that will offer a glimpse behind the scenes on an as yet unspecified group of talent. It is reported that AEW talent also has the option to not be involved in the filming.
Filming is scheduled to begin in November at the Baltimore taping of AEW Dynamite and is said to run for a duration of six weeks, culminating during AEW tapings in Garland, Texas on December 14.
The docu-series is a collaboration between Shed Media and Warner Bros. Discovery. Executive Producer of Shed Media, Sam Berns, will serve as executive producer of the project alongside Tony Khan.
According to Fightful’s sources, the documentary series is slated to air in 2023.
AEW Dynamite airs weekly on TBS, while AEW Rampage airs on TNT in the US. Both networks are owned by Warner Bros. Discovery
This news comes after a recent comment from Warner Bros. Discovery Executive Kathleen Finch, who reported that more ‘shoulder’ content outside of the ring was in the works.
Previously AEW aired a behind-the-scenes reality series with Cody Rhodes and Brandi Rhodes called ‘Road to the Top’ on TNT before they left the promotion earlier this year.
