An ‘Anarchy in the Arena’ match has been added to the card for the AEW Double Or Nothing 2023 pay-per-view on Sunday, May 28.
It was one of several new matches added to Double Or Nothing on tonight’s May 17 episode of Dynamite.
Dynamite with closed with Don Callis’ explanation of why he turned on Kenny Omega a week ago, but it turned into a big brawl between Blackpool Combat Club and The Elite.
The Elite had one new addition though in the form of a returning Adam Page, who proposed the Anarchy in the Arena match.
So, as it stands, it’ll be Page, Omega and the Young Bucks vs Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta and Claudio Castagnoli in Anarchy in the Arena.
The first Anarchy in the Arena match took place at Double Or Nothing 2022, and saw Chris Jericho, Daniel Garcia, Jake Hager, Matt Menard and Angelo Parker beat Danielson, Moxley, Eddie Kingston, Santana and Ortiz.
It’s unclear if this year’s match will become five-on-five too, as Konosuke Takeshita is seemingly floating between both the BCC and the Elite, yet to pick a side.
The confirmed matches for Double Or Nothing as of tonight’s Dynamite are as follows:
MJF (c) vs. Darby Allin vs. Jack Perry vs. Sammy Guevara – AEW World Championship
Wardlow (c) vs. Christian Cage – TNT Championship ladder match
Jamie Hayter (c) vs. Toni Storm – AEW Women’s World Championship
Orange Cassidy (c) vs. 20 TBA – AEW International Championship Blackjack Battle Royal
FTR (c) vs. Jay Lethal & Jeff Jarrett – AEW World Tag Team Championship
Blackpool Combat Club vs. The Elite – Anarchy In The Arena
