A WWE star has teased a potentially major change coming to their presentation for a title match at an upcoming Premium Live Event.
On this week’s NXT (September 26) it was announced that the NXT Tag Team Champions The Family (Tony D’Angelo & Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo) would be defending their titles in a four-way against The Creed Brothers, OTM (Lucien Price & Bronco Nima) and Los Lotharios (Angel Garza & Humberto Carrillo).
Sharing a graphic of the match on Twitter, Garza sparked conversation as fans noticed that he and Carrillo were billed not under their former tag name of Los Lotharios, and instead simply under their full names.
This was notable on two accounts as both men lost their surnames in late 2021, going as Angel & Humberto up until their return to NXT TV this summer.
But also, this was seemingly further confirmation that the Los Lotharios name had been scrapped altogether, something that was teased in vignettes for the team in recent months.
In response to a Twitter user who noted the two changes made to Garza and Carrillo’s presentation and asked if there was “something brewing” for the pair, Garza would simply tweet a GIF of himself winking, suggesting a presentation change was imminent and perhaps debuting at No Mercy on September 30.
Whether this is a new tag team name or otherwise, it’s certainly worth keeping an eye on, stay tuned to WrestleTalk for any updates.
As a result of Blair Davenport’s attack on Gigi Dolin on this weeks NXT their existing match for No Mercy has been scrapped, however a new star has stepped up to take Dolin’s place, follow this link for full details.
