Johnny Gargano made his return to the NXT brand on this week’s NXT Roadblock episode of the show.
Gargano’s NXT return makes him the latest name in the list of main roster stars that have headed to the developmental show in the past year.
Names such as Dolph Ziggler, the New Day, Apollo Crews, Jinder Mahal and Natalya have stopped by the brand in recent months to help the young talent.
However, we could potentially be adding another name to that list soon.
In recent weeks, NXT North American Champion Wes Lee has held open challenges for his title, which has seen the entire roster fighting to be the first man to make it to the ring.
With Lee set to hold his latest open challenge on Tuesday, Cedric Alexander took to Twitter to call his shot.
He said:
I’m free Tuesday nights….. I’ve never challenged for the #NXTNorthAmerican Title….
Hey @WesLee_WWE you feeling froggy? @WWENXT
Cedric, alongside Shelton Benjamin, had been teasing a potential reunion of the Hurt Business with MVP on Raw in recent weeks.
