Another Title Change At WWE WrestleMania 40 WWE

There has been another title change at WWE WrestleMania 40 tonight (April 6) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Another title change on night one of WrestleMania 40 as GUNTHER lost his Intercontinental Championship after having the longest reign with the title of all time.

After Sami Zayn featured in a vignette segment overcoming his doubt on WWE Raw, tonight he was shown with his family before the match and then getting a last minute endorsement from Chad Gable.

Ahead of his ring entrance Zayn also got a warm embrace from Kevin Owens who was shown backstage during a unique WrestleMania entrance where the camera followed Zayn throughout the moments leading up all the way to him walking out onto the stage.

It would prove to be a big match for Zayn as he re-captured the Intercontinental Championship for the fourth time in his career.

Elsewhere on tonight’s WrestleMania 40, Rhea Ripley retained her WWE Women’s World Championship in a match against Becky Lynch.

The six-pack ladder match yielded two new teams holding gold as Grayson Waller and Austin Theory won the SmackDown Tag Team titles and R-Truth and the Miz won the Raw Tag Team titles.

The team of Jade Cargill, Bianca Belair and Naomi beat team Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai, Asuka and Kairi Sane) in Jade Cargill’s first WrestleMania appearance.

Still to come, the big main event featuring The Rock and Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins.
