WWE Star Bayley has reflected on her run alongside Mercedes Mone (fka Sasha Banks) ahead of The Boss’ expected AEW debut.
With Mercedes Mone’s all but confirmed AEW debut set to take place at tonight’s Big Business event (March 12), her closest ally and rival from her time in WWE has taken to Twitter to reflect on a specific moment from the pair’s run together in the company.
On it’s four-year anniversary, a Twitter user uploaded a post reflecting on WWE’s first pandemic-era broadcast – the March 13, 2020 episode of SmackDown.
As seen in the image below, it was Bayley and Mone who began WWE’s pandemic-era in the WWE Performance Center, competing in the first match behind closed doors against Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross.
In reaction to the post, Bayley said:
And da rest is history
During this period Bayley was in the middle of a 380 day reign as SmackDown Women’s Champion, a title she would finally lose to Mone at the 2020 Hell in a Cell pay-per-view in October 2020.
This would be the second-to-last time the pair would face off one-on-one, with Mone departing the company in May 2022.
