Report: Belief Within WWE That NXT Will Consistently Outdraw AEW Dynamite WWE/AEW

The new television home for WWE NXT was announced earlier this week, with the show officially set to move to The CW network in October 2024.

NXT’s move to the CW will see the show return to broadcast television, as well as the show receiving a 70% increase in rights.

NXT’s ratings have recently increased following an influx of WWE main roster stars, including on the October 10 ‘biggest NXT of all time’ episode of the show, which went head to head with AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday.

This week’s episode of NXT featured a limited amount of main roster talent, and scored 794,000 viewers.

In an update from Haus of Wrestling, a WWE sources has said that, internally, the belief is that NXT viewership will consistently outdraw AEW Dynamite, especially following the move to the CW.

The belief comes from the idea that the CW is a ‘younger broadcast TV channel’ instead of an ‘aging cable channel’, and that will help attract a younger and more influential audience.

This comes on top of the high-quality content the show has been putting out, as well as Triple H integrating the NXT roster in with the main roster stars more frequently.

It was relayed to Haus of Wrestling that there appears to be a belief that the current AEW product is cold, even with the big name stars such as Bryan Danielson and Adam Copeland.
