Big Change To Bryan Danielson Plans Revealed

Big Change To Bryan Danielson Plans Revealed AEW

A new report has revealed a big change to the plans for Bryan Danielson.

On the October 25 edition of AEW Dynamite, Blackpool Combat Club’s Claudio Castagnoli and Bryan Danielson defeated Orange Cassidy and Kazuchika Okada in the main event.

During the closing stretches of the bout, Danielson took the Orange Punch and Rainmaker in short succession, leading to him selling an injury after the match. In reality, the injury had happened during Danielson’s match against Andrade El Idolo on Collision a few days prior.

Despite suffering a broken orbital bone that required surgery, “The American Dragon” sent a video to issue a challenge to Okada for NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18 on January 4 at Power Struggle 2023.

Per Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso, multiple sources confirmed that the original plan for NJPW Power Struggle was for Danielson to issue the challenge in person to Okada at the event.

However, the injury prevented him from flying out to Japan. Given the injury, an audible was called and the decision was made for Danielson to make the challenge via video.

Also at Power Struggle, David Finlay laid out both Will Ospreay and Jon Moxley to close the show before destroying the IWGP United Kingdom and United States Championships with a hammer.

The real story behind Bryan Danielson’s broken orbital bone injury has been revealed, which you can read at this link.
