Big Change To AEW Star’s Suspension

Big Change To AEW Star’s Suspension AEW

On tonight’s August 19 episode of AEW Collision there was a big change announced to an AEW star’s suspension.

In a backstage interview segment with Tony Schiavone tonight, it was clarified that Schiavone misspoke on last week’s episode of Collision during an announcement about the storyline suspension.

Last week, Schiavone announced that, as of his August 5 attack on Ricky Steamboat, Ricky Starks had been suspended from in-ring action for 30 days, which ruled him out of wrestling at both All In and All Out.

However, there was a big switch this week.

The 30 days was corrected to 28 days, which means it runs out on September 2, which is actually the day before All Out.

So while this still rules Starks out of action at AEW All In at London’s Wembley Stadium, he will be eligible for the pay-per-view the following Sunday, AEW All Out in Chicago.

Also, as explained last week, it’s only an in-ring suspension, and Starks actually applied for a “manager’s license” so he can still appear on TV as a manager.

Who is he managing? That question was answered tonight as well, as he accompanied Big Bill to the ring for an easy win.
