Big Changes Made To Women’s WrestleMania Match

Big Changes Made To Women’s WrestleMania Match WWE

Details have emerged regarding some big changes that have been made to a key match at the upcoming WrestleMania 39 in Hollywood.

Heading into this year’s Royal Rumble event, it was assumed by some that eventual winner Rhea Ripley would end up facing Bianca Belair at the show of shows.

However, Rhea ultimately challenged her WrestleMania 36 opponent Charlotte Flair for the latter’s WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship.

A recent Fightful Select report has said that nobody at Fightful has seen anything to suggest that Rhea Ripley vs Bianca Belair was ever even suggested.

The same report also said that as of November, Charlotte Flair was actually slated to return to the WWE Raw brand.

However, she instead returned to SmackDown to take the belt from then-champion Ronda Rousey, due to Rousey’s own “creative adjustments”, which seems to be her entering the tag team division with Shayna Baszler.

It is currently rumoured that Ripley vs Flair could main event the first night of WrestleMania, although that isn’t finalized.

Belair will now instead defend her WWE Raw Women’s Championship against Asuka.
