Speaking with Yahoo! Sports, Bobby Lashley said that he’d like the opportunity to give fellow Raw star Kofi Kingston the WWE Championship rematch that he never received.
Kofi Kingston has not challenged for the WWE Championship since dropping the title to Brock Lesnar in October 2019, and Bobby Lashley said that he’d want to give the New Day star that match:
“Hell yeah. Someone like me stepping up in a fight against Kofi, it should be a layup and that’s not how people think it will go down. That’s what excites me about Kofi. I like Kofi and what he’s done for the business, and to have a fight with him, I would love to have that opportunity. He was a world champion and the one opportunity that he didn’t get was to have another shot at the title.”
While a match with Kofi Kingston could be on the cards for Bobby Lashley, a showdown with Brock Lesnar seems far more likely, with WWE recently holding talks with “The Beast” regarding a potential return.
