Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has commented on the reaction to his comments about having a “run-in” with CM Punk.
WWE Hall of Famer and current NXT commentator Booker T made some headlines when he claimed that he “got into it” with CM Punk backstage at this past Tuesday’s WWE NXT.
Punk was seen backstage in a photo at the March 12 episode of WWE NXT, but no one had known of an altercation between he and Booker T until Booker mentioned it on his podcast.
Reports from Fightful have since indicated that the comment was likely just “Booker being Booker” and looking to make headlines, and there has been nothing to indicate such an incident occurred.
On March 15, Booker T took to social media to comment on the reaction to the alleged CM Punk “altercation” comments. He wrote:
People are making an issues of a 40 second clip out of a 2 hour show… the dispute between @CMPunk could’ve been over a banana in catering hahah. Y’all are making much to do about nothing.
CM Punk is currently out of action with a torn tricep, but he will appear on the March 25 episode of WWE Raw from Chicago.
