Here’s what happened with Brock Lesnar after the WWE Backlash 2023 premium live event went off the air, following his loss in the main event of the show.
In the final match of the show, The Beast faced off against Cody Rhodes.
This bout was made official after Lesnar attacked Rhodes on the April 3 edition of Raw.
Following a brutal bout, Cody Rhodes was able to gain the advantage after sending Lesnar face-first into an exposed turnbuckle.
The American Nightmare then dropped Lesnar with two Cody Cutters, a Disaster Kick a flurry of strikes and a couple of Cross Rhodes, which would only earn him a two-count.
After Lesnar started to make a comeback, Rhodes pinned the Beast while trapped in the Kimura lock.
A frustrated and bloody Lesnar was left alone in the ring when the feed cut to a highlight package recapping the night’s events.
After the cameras stopped rolling, Lesnar received a standing ovation, and ‘thank you Lesnar’ chants from the Puerto Rican crowd.
After soaking in the adoration, Lesnar performed his signature bounce for the fans, before punching the mat and finally exiting the ring.
Lesnar’s most recent WWE victory saw him defeat Omos at WrestleMania 39 in April.
