Former NXT Champion Bron Breakker has shared his honest thoughts on not getting called up to the main roster in the 2023 WWE Draft.
With Breakker often touted as WWE’s next big thing, and the rising star losing the NXT Title at Stand & Deliver 2023 during WrestleMania weekend, many predicted that he’d be one of the NXT stars moved to the main roster in this year’s draft.
This ultimately didn’t happen. Instead, Breakker is currently having a run as a heel on the developmental roster.
Speaking on Cheap Heat, Breakker explained why he isn’t disappointed that he’s still in NXT:
“No, there’s no disappointment or anything.
“Me being a heel now is the best thing that I’ve done. I’m having so much fun. It’s more natural for me.
“This is just such a better version of me. I’m having the time of my life right now. I’m not worried about whether I’m going up, I’m getting drafted.
“That’s just not something I worry about or think about. When my time comes, it’ll come. That’s it.”
Breakker notably challenged for Seth Rollins’ WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the June 20 NXT Gold Rush TV special.
