A WWE Raw star has stated how important an upcoming major Premium Live Event is to him on a personal level.
On September 21 it was announced via a press release that WWE’s Elimination Chamber PLE will be taking place in Perth, Australia on February 24, 2024.
Along with fellow Aussie stars Grayson Waller and WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, ‘Big’ Bronson Reed is especially excited to return home for the event.
Speaking to TNT Sports, Reed summarised just how much personal significance the event has for him, explaining:
“I am super excited. I always wanted to be a part of a WWE event in my home country. Now we have WWE Elimination Chamber, Perth.
“It means a lot to me. It’s almost a culmination of my whole career. I spent a long time in Australia, grinding on the Australian Independent Scene, hopefully trying to get eyes on the Australian wrestling scene.
“So to see an event like this in my home country, it’s going to mean the world not only to myself and the people in WWE from Australia like Rhea Ripley, and Grayson Waller, but also to all the wrestlers back home.”
At this year’s Elimination Chamber event, Reed competed in the titular match type with Austin Theory’s US Championship on the line, his first of just two title opportunities he’s had thus far on WWE’s main roster.
It remains to be seen what way WWE plans to use its Australian talent come February 24, however, given the event is the final PLE before WrestleMania 40, Reed will undoubtedly hope to be in title contention once again ahead of the show of shows.
