Bullet Club War Dogs member and former NJPW STRONG Tag Team Champion Gabe Kidd has re-signed with New Japan Pro Wrestling.
2024 is a big year for New Japan Pro Wrestling coming off the heels of losing both Kazuchika Okada and Will Ospreay.
Despite most of the headlines going to the two former IWGP World Heavyweight Champions, there were quite a few other talent who had their deals expire at the start of the year.
According to Fightful Select (subscription required), Bullet Club War Dogs member Gabe Kidd has re-signed with NJPW as of this past weekend. The terms of the deal is currently unknown at the time of this writing.
The reports notes that his previous deal expired in January 2024, but Kidd worked without a contract for a month and a half.
Following the report, Kidd took to social media to confirm the report and told NJPW President Hiroshi Tanahashi that he is welcome. He wrote:
YOU’RE WELCOME @tanahashi1_100
This period included the main event Dog Pound Steel Cage Match where he teamed with the rest of the Bullet Club War Dogs to defeat Will Ospreay and United Empire at NJPW The New Beginning in Osaka.
Gabe Kidd has been a prominent member of the Bullet Club War Dogs since they emerged in 2023 and is regarded as an individual who could become a major player in New Japan.
WrestleTalk will provide any further updates on Gabe Kidd’s NJPW status when they become available.
