NJPW Bullet Club Member Says He Has Retired NJPW

NJPW star and Bullet Club member Alex Coughlin has taken to social media to announce his retirement.

Coughlin took to Twitter on Sunday (March 24) to state that he’s retired, noting that it sucks.

He wrote:

Yeah I’m retired and it sucks now leave me the f**k alone

Actually I have some merch and gear to sell still so don’t f**k off just yet

Coughlin didn’t provide any more details on his announcement.

He last wrestled for NJPW on the February 11 The New Beginning In Osaka show, representing the Bullet Club War Dogs against the United Empire in their ten man Steel Cage bout.

His most recent match saw him compete in tag-team action at the NYWC independent event in Farmingville, New York on February 24.

Coughlin’s wrestling career began in 2018, ahead of him joining the inaugural class of the NJPW Los Angeles Dojo later that year.

Coughlin trained alongside Clark Connors and Karl Fredericks (WWE’s Eddy Thorpe) under Katsuyori Shibata, ahead of him wrestling as a NJPW Young Lion.

Alex went on to hold the NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Championship alongside Gabe Kidd, with the duo winning the gold in July 2023 and holding the title for 97 days.

We wish Alex Coughlin all the best for his future.
