The latest on Charlotte Flair’s WWE injury status following her recent surgery, and when the company expects her back.
Charlotte Flair suffered a serious injury on the December 8, 2023 episode of SmackDown, when she tore her ACL, MCL and meniscus during her match with Asuka.
Charlotte recently underwent surgery for her injury, and is currently on the road to recovery, which WWE has claimed will take nine months.
In this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that those close to Charlotte believe that she will ‘beat’ the expected nine month timetable due to the family genetics at returning from injuries, as well as her work ethic in training.
He wrote:
She’s listed at being out nine months although those close to her believe she will beat that timetable citing the family genetics at returning from injuries and her work ethic in training
Charlotte reportedly signed a new contract with the company prior to her injury, believed to be among the highest paying contracts for a woman in company history.
Charlotte’s husband Andrade El Idolo is believed to be on his way back to the company after departing AEW following Worlds End.
