Chelsea Green Comments On Piper Niven Forcefully Becoming New WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion WWE

After Chelsea Green’s other half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Sonya Deville suffered a torn ACL injury on July 28’s SmackDown, Green began the process of finding a replacement partner.

To do so, Green hosted auditions under the banner ‘Chelsea’s Got Talent’ on social media to help find a new co-champion, with the 32-year-old looking to continue her search on this week’s Raw (August 14).

Not keen to audition however, was Piper Niven, who flattened out Kayden Carter and Katana Chance in Adam Pearce’s office and proceeded to tell Green that she was her new partner, with the champion not having much of a say in the matter.

Now, in response to the new forced pairing, Green has taken to Twitter to ask whether the process in which Niven claimed her first title in WWE is in fact “allowed”.

Green wrote:

Are we sure this is allowed??

I really think she should have put her name & number on the #ChelseasGotTalent signup sheets but okay.

While Green may not be best pleased with the pairing, it does look to be official as WWE.com has been updated and lists Niven as the official new champion alongside Green.

Elsewhere on Raw, the Judgment Day gained a brand new ally to their cause, click here for more details.
