An update has emerged on AEW Collision ticket sales following the debut episode of the show which featured the return of CM Punk.
Collision ticket sales hadn’t been doing impressive numbers past Chicago, likely because AEW had already been selling tickets in the same areas for so many other shows, but things look to have picked up now.
With confirmation that Punk is actually back, and now that everyone has had a look at what Collision is actually going to be, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has described tickets as moving “very well” since Saturday.
Ticket sales for the next Collision show in Toronto for Saturday, June 24 have now topped the 3,000 mark, which might not sound great in isolation, but Meltzer states is “great considering where it was two weeks ago”.
The show that was doing the worst of the lot was the Hamilton show for Thursday, June 29, which is set for just one day after Dynamite in the exact same venue.
A few days ago ticket sales for that show were only at around 800, but they’ve now been boosted to near 1,500.
Another factor to consider is that there have been some special offers to get tickets moved, but it’s pretty evident that the return of Punk and the quality of the debut episode of Collision as a whole has had a positive effect.
