CM Punk To Commentate Darby Allin Vs. Daniel Garcia On AEW Rampage?

It sounds like we may hear CM Punk on commentary during the Darby Allin vs Daniel Garcia match on Friday’s episode of AEW Rampage.

AEW has tweeted that there will be a special announcement at noon ET about the commentary team for the match.

It’s not confirmed yet that it’ll be CM Punk, but that’s what the obvious speculation has been, and what people are getting excited about.

On last night’s Dynamite, Punk was ambushed in the ring by Garcia and 2point0, but Allin and Sting came out to even the odds, before Sting announced he won’t be ringside for Punk vs Allin at All Out.

Rampage already has four commentators, with Excalibur, Taz, Chris Jericho and Mark Henry, so you’d imagine at least one of them, probably Henry, might step away to make room for Punk so there aren’t five voices at once.

They could also come up with a way to not have Jericho there on Friday, explaining that he’s busy preparing for MJF at All Out or something like that.

Either way, we’ll keep you updated with the actual announcement when it happens later today.
