Paul Heyman has addressed his previous relationships with CM Punk and Brock Lesnar, while serving as Roman Reigns’ Wiseman.
While Heyman has been a key part of the Tribal Chief’s presentation for some time now, Reigns is far from the first WWE star who Heyman has celebrated success with.
Before Reigns, a several stars made names for themselves as Paul Heyman guys, including Brock Lesnar and the returning CM Punk.
Paul Heyman has now reacted to a Twitter post pointing out that he has managed Lesnar, Punk and Reigns, clarifying his relationships with each of his clients.
Noting that he was best friends with CM Punk, rather than just a manager, he wrote:
I thank you for your recognition. Yes, I am the #GOAT. That, for the record, is undisputed and by now, uncontroverted.
For the record …
I was BFF with @cmpunk (longest reigning champion of the modern era).
#Advocate to @BrockLesnar (broke that record).
#SpecialCounsel and #Wiseman to @WWERomanReigns (smashed all records)!
Heyman notably referenced CM Punk’s return during his promo on the January 5 edition of SmackDown, during which he stated that no man will be able to dethrone Roman Reigns.
During his speech, he mentioned Cody Rhodes, recalling how the American Nightmare unsuccessfully challenged for Reigns’ WWE Undisputed Universal Championship at WrestleMania 39.
Cody Rhodes has now reacted to Heyman’s comments, which you can read more about right here.
