As fans tuned in to tonight’s AEW Dynamite, many were waiting to see how the backstage fight between CM Punk, Ace Steel and the Elite would be addressed on the show.
We didn’t have to wait long at all to feel the their absence, in fact the show was not even underway before their absence was felt.
Both The Elite and CM Punk were not featured on tonight’s AEW Dynamite intro video. CM Punk was also edited out of the footage of MJF’s return from the end of All Out.
Tony Khan then made the announcement that both the AEW World Championship and the AEW Trios Championship had been vacated in the fallout of the backstage fight.
