AEW Star Admits He Misses WWE’s CM Punk AEW

An AEW star has admitted that they’re missing their team with CM Punk, following Punk’s AEW exit and return to WWE.

CM Punk returned to WWE at the end of the November 2023 Survivor Series premium live event, following his AEW release two months earlier in September.

A Twitter user shared a photo to the platform of CM Punk with Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler of FTR. The fan noted that they miss CMFTR, which was the name the trio would use on AEW TV.

Harwood replied to this tweet, writing:

Me too 😭

CM Punk, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler most recently wrestled as a trio on the August 12, 2023 edition of Collision, losing to Brody King, Buddy Matthews & Malakai Black in an AEW Trios Championship bout.

Punk has only wrestled one televised match since returning to WWE, competing in January’s Royal Rumble match.

He made it to the final two of the bout before he was eliminated by eventual winner Cody Rhodes.

Punk suffered a tricep tear during this bout, so is currently out of action recovering from this injury.

Details have emerged on Punk being backstage at a recent WWE show, which you can read more about right here.
