Details on CM Punk’s backstage visit to this week’s WWE NXT show at the Performance Center have been revealed.
When this week’s episode of NXT went on the air, photos emerged online of CM Punk being present in the crowd for the show.
The pictures came as something of a surprise, as Punk had not been reported to have been spotted backstage ahead of the show, and it wasn’t just fans that were surprised that he made the visit.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), Punk was backstage, but kept a much lower profile than he had with his previous visits to NXT.
Many within the brand were not even aware of Punk’s presence backstage until the pictures of him began making the rounds online.
Punk is currently out of action with a torn tricep injury he suffered during the Royal Rumble match.
Punk has been advertised for the upcoming episode of Raw in Chicago on March 25.
Punk will also be appearing at WWE World in Philadelphia on April 6, the same night as night one of WrestleMania 40.
