Cody Rhodes Appears In Video Game-Based Anime Netflix Series WWE

Cody Rhodes makes an appearance in the upcoming Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix based on Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.

The series was created by Adi Shankar whose credits include the animated Castlevania where he served as showrunner.

Shankar was also an Executive Producer on a number of movies including 2012’s Dredd.

In the trailer that can be seen below this news story, we are introduced to the world of Captain Laserhawk in what is described as:

“A VHS full of lasers, video games… and a frog assassin! It’s time to join the revolution with Dolph Laserhawk and free the citizens of Eden!”

The trailer features an appearance from Cody Rhodes, complete with familiar tattoos, although his presence is seemingly very much short-lived.

Rhodes has thanked Shankar for involving him in the project, writing on Twitter:

“😂 I went boom.

“Thanks @adishankarbrand for thinking of me and sliding me into your world, cheers to the next time!”

The series is not only based on Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon but also includes other characters from Ubisoft franchises, with Rayman popping up as a news anchor.

Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix streams on Netflix on October 19th.
