A backstage update has emerged on plans for Cody Rhodes’ first feud following his WWE return.
Rhodes was revealed to be Seth Rollins’ mystery opponent on WrestleMania 38 Saturday. After almost 22 minutes of action, multiple Cross-Rhodes, and a Dusty Rhodes elbow, Rhodes pinned Rollins to win his first match back in WWE.
Per Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast, Rhodes is set to continue his feud with Rollins.
On Monday’s episode of Raw, Rollins shook hands with the former AEW EVP, who had cut an emotional promo vowing to win the WWE Championship to honor Dusty Rhodes.
Rhodes recently discussed his and Rollins’ history on WWE The Bump, pointing out that Rollins was trained by Dusty when he first joined WWE developmental.
Cody also stated that he feels like he has a limited amount of time left to pursue his in-ring goals, which you can read more about right here.
He is scheduled to face off against The Miz on next week’s edition of WWE Raw.
