With the fan fury over the potential for The Rock facing Roman Reigns at WWE WrestleMania 40 instead of Cody Rhodes, Rhodes has a message.
Rhodes has taken to Twitter for the first time to address the fan fervor over the arrival of The Rock on Friday’s February 2 WWE SmackDown.
Cody Rhodes appeared in the opening segment of tonight’s February 6 Raw before taking to social media to address WWE fans.
In the earlier segment on Raw, the mere mention of The Rock inspired the St. Louis crowd to throw back to a vintage chant in unison.
The crowd broke out into loud ‘Rocky Sucks’ chants that Michael Cole on commentary wondered aloud if it was 1996 again.
Rhodes wrote:
Appreciate the passion, God bless y’all
…but
Trust me
Still on the card tonight for Cody Rhodes, the WWE Raw main event where Rhodes is set to take on Shinsuke Nakamura in a Bull Rope match.
