Cody Rhodes has filed for a new trademark just before he main events WWE WrestleMania 40 this coming weekend.
Earlier in the week, Rhodes was interviewed by Ariel Helwani, covering multiple topics including Mania, AEW and plenty more.
One of the things that came up was the current era of WWE, which many fans have been referring to as the ‘Renaissance Era’.
Cody Rhodes said that he and other wrestlers also call it that, and now he’s taken things a step further.
On April 3, the day of that interview, Cody Rhodes, under his real name Cody Runnels, filed to trademark ‘The Renaissance Era’.
The trademark was filed with the following description:
Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Providing online interviews featuring a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes
Cody Rhodes teams with Seth Rollins against The Rock and Roman Reigns on WrestleMania night one, and will then face Reigns in a singles match on night two.
