Talented youngster Daniel Garcia, who has been a pretty prominent figure in AEW as of late, has teased that “something must change”.
Garcia has been involved in matches with several big names lately, including Darby Allin, Jon Moxley, and most recently CM Punk, but has yet to pick up a win outside of Dark or Elevation.
Factoring in those YouTube shows, his record overall is actually 7-7, but he’s yet to get a win on either TNT show.
Taking to Twitter, Garcia wrote:
I’ve lost every match that I’ve had on Dynamite and Rampage. I thought I was on my way to being one of the best, but maybe I’m having a harder time adjusting than I thought I would. Something must change.
Of course there’s a chance the tweet isn’t necessarily indicative of anything in particular and it was just a provocative thing to post to get people talking, but maybe there’s more to it.
Garcia has been aligned with 2point0 ever since the three men joined AEW, and it’s a bit of an odd combination, so perhaps splitting from them is what he means by something changing.
It’ll be interesting to see if something does come of it, because at only 23 years old, Daniel Garcia is one of the most promising prospects in the entire world of wrestling, so it would perhaps be wise for AEW to start putting a lot of effort into getting him over as a threat.
CM Punk and Bryan Danielson are just two of the names who have had very high praise for Garcia, and they’re two pretty decent names to impress, so there is definitely the potential for a lot of big things ahead in Garcia’s future.
