Top AEW Star ‘Not 100%’ Ahead Of All Out 2023 AEW

AEW star Darby Allin has provided an update on his health ahead of All Out, noting that he’s not at 100% ahead of his TNT Title bout.

Allin is slated to challenge for Luchasaurus’ TNT Championship at the September 3 All Out pay-per-view.

The AEW ‘pillar’ was also in action at the August 27 All In London show, teaming with Sting to defeat Swerve Strickland and Christian Cage in a tag-team coffin match.

In an interview with CBS Chicago, Allin noted that he hurt his back during the All In match, pointing to the spot where he delivered a Coffin Drop to the metal casket as one of the moments that did the damage:

“I’m not 100%. We had a show in London, I really messed my spine up. I’m trying to take it easy before Sunday. My lower back is really banged up.

“At the show in Wembley, I jumped off the top rope and landed on a metal coffin on my lower spine. Luchasaurus, he’s a huge dude. I think a lot of it has to do with where I’m willing to go in that ring.

“A lot of people aren’t willing to go where I’m willing to go mentally. I can take a big butt kicking. When things are going, there are things I’m capable of that I believe nobody else is.”

When asked about the possibility of him missing All Out, Allin stated that this wouldn’t happen, noting:

“No, I can touch my toes still, so I’m good.”

Two AEW stars who were also in action at All In have explained why they previously rejected WWE offers, which you can read more about at this link.
