Drew McIntyre Breaks Silence After WWE Return At Money In The Bank

Drew McIntyre Breaks Silence After WWE Return At Money In The Bank WWE

Drew McIntyre has broken his silence after returning to WWE at tonight’s Money in the Bank premium live event.

Taking to Twitter to share a succinct message, McIntyre wrote:

“I’ve been counting down the days #MITB”

Drew McIntyre made a triumphant return to WWE tonight at Money in the Bank, appearing after GUNTHER was able to best Matt Riddle to retain his Intercontinental Championship.

After being declared the winner, GUNTHER’s celebration was cut short by a thunderous crowd reaction for an easily recognized theme song as it hit for the excited London crowd.

Drew McIntyre was back in WWE and came to the ring in search of the Intercontinental Champ, GUNTHER.

With Wade Barrett on commentary noting that the rumors and questions about Drew’s future with the company could now be put to bed, Michael Cole added, “The rumors of Drew McIntyre’s demise in WWE are not true.”

McIntyre has been out of action since WrestleMania 39, initially dealing with injury issues, however with contract rumors plaguing his recent absence.

The return comes on the heels of questions about McIntyre’s future with WWE, as his contract is known to be up in February with recent reports that he and the company were far apart on agreeing to a new deal and he may not return ahead of the contract expiration unless there were creative plans that he agreed to.

Particularly being kept a closely guarded secret, McIntyre was specifically not spotted in London in advance of the event nor have any reports leaked of his return on tonight’s show in advance of his surprise appearance.
