Drew McIntyre has reacted to Tyson Fury mentioning him, following Saturday’s boxing match against Dillian Whyte.
Following his 6th round TKO victory over Dillian Whyte, Fury discussed his plans for his boxing retirement in the post-fight media scrum. Noting that he hasn’t ruled out a return to WWE, Fury stated that he’s seen a lot of what Drew McIntyre has been saying about him online.
McIntyre has now taken to Twitter to respond to Fury, noting:
Biggest win of his career and he can’t keep my name out his mouth. You have our number, @Tyson_Fury!
There has been speculation that McIntyre and Fury will face off at the September 3 Premium Live Event at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.
Fury hasn’t wrestled since his pro-wrestling debut at Crown Jewel 2019, defeating Braun Strowman (Adam Scherr) via count-out following a knockout punch.
McIntyre appeared to enter a major feud during Friday’s taping for next week’s (April 29) episode of SmackDown. You can read spoilers from the taping right here.
