Drew McIntyre Responds To ‘Hypocrite’ Claims Following Bloodline Interference On WWE Raw WWE

Drew McIntyre has hit back at claims he is a “hypocrite” after capitalising on Bloodline interference to defeat Cody Rhodes on WWE Raw (February 19).

Undoubtedly the prevailing motivation behind The Scottish Warrior’s slow-burn heel turn was his defeat to Roman Reigns at Clash at the Castle 2023 – a match that was decided by interference from Solo Sikoa.

So, when McIntyre used a very similar instance of Sikoa interference to his advantage on Raw, many felt his actions directly contradict everything he has been saying since his heel run began.

This fact was directly called out on Raw by both Michael Cole and Pat McAfee, and has resulted in McIntyre answering back in a new video uploaded to his own TikTok account.

Filming the video from Perth, Australia following a gruelling flight, McIntyre shared his thoughts on the matter as he took a stroll to the gym.

McIntyre said:

“Alright the time is just after 7pm we’re in Perth, Western Australia only took about 30 hours of flying to get here. Left right after Raw, right after defeating Cody Rhodes, and of course heading right to the gym.

“I was the only one trusted by WWE to do media after literally stepping off the plane whilst the others rest. Which I’ve got no issues with, I’ve worked hard to be trusted when it counts.

“As a result of these factors I haven’t really had the chance to properly reflect on the past 48 hours. But I’ll give it a go if people stop asking me for a picture every two seconds. I’ve also read what some people have been saying online. I’ve heard what Cole and McAfee have to say.

“Let’s make this clear I’m not a hypocrite. Don’t be pushing a false narrative to the masses, when you have such power to influence. Instead of coming to the source and understanding the big picture.

“Watch Monday back. Look in my eyes, what do you see? You clearly see, I want to attack Solo and when the time is right I will.

“But I’ve grown as a person, a competitor, a leader, I can’t be selfish. I have to do what’s right for the fans and the future of the world title. Even if it causes me physical and mental pain.

McIntyre then explained how important that win was for his chances inside the Elimination Chamber this coming Saturday (February 24):

“I knew that win over Cody sends me to Australia with even more momentum, only the second person to pin him in two years. Not to mention I’ve got LA Knight on SmackDown before Elimination Chamber on Saturday. An appropriate week for the true workhorse.

“Seth has the easy road. I’m taking the hard road. As I’ve always done in my career and I’m leaving no doubt in anyone’s mind that I am the real deal and I do not deserve my moment I’ve earned it.”

If McIntyre plans to achieve his dream of winning a world championship in front of live fans, he’s going to have to do so at the expense of his five competitors inside the Elimination Chamber.
