AEW star Eddie Kingston was set to wrestle at this weekend’s NJPW Strong Autumn Action tapings in Las Vegas.
Kingston was slated to team alongside Wheeler Yuta and Homicide against Jay White and the Good Brothers at the tapings, but that match will no longer being taking place, as Eddie himself revealed.
Kingston took to Twitter today to reveal that he had tested positive for COVID-19, so will not be able to compete for the show. Kingston then noted that he would be testing again to see if he can make AEW television next week.
He said:
“So here we go, got covid won’t be able to make Strong this weekend. It f*cking sucks going to test again to see if I can make tv this week.”
Kingston was in action on the AEW All Out Zero Hour pre-show, when he defeated New Japan Pro Wrestling star Tomohiro Ishii.
Kingston was recently suspended from AEW for two weeks due to a backstage altercation he had with Sammy Guevara backstage last month.
